How does hybrid Meeting For Worship work? - So everyone attending can see and hear on another, we use an A/V system connected to Zoom.

Attending In-person:
In the meeting room, there is a big screen TV off to one side, along with our A/V set-up. This enables those in the meeting room to see those on Zoom on the TV and hear them via our PA system. If you are in the meeting room and want to speak, please stand and wait for a microphone to be brought to you. Hold the mic like an ice cream cone, and speak clearly into the microphone so that all can hear you. Zoom provided captions will be shown on the TV screen.

Attending on Zoom:
Those on Zoom will be able to see others on Zoom, as well as the meeting room via a webcam. If you want to speak on Zoom, please unmute yourself. The Zoom Friend will switch to Speaker View on Zoom, so those in-person can better see who is speaking online. When you speak, your message should show up on the screen with captioning. Remember those on Zoom and in the meeting room can see what your are doing while on Zoom. Please turn off you video/camera if you are eating or doing other distracting activities while on Zoom.

Audio Issues: If you find it hard to hear someone, turn on captioning and read their message. If on Zoom and the audio goes out, please hold up your hand to your ear to notify the Zoom Friend. Occasionally the audio doesn’t work well, when that happens the Zoom Friend will type the message/sharing in chat. Either way listen to the message with an open heart, holding the Light the person speaking.

Chat Feature on Zoom: Please refrain from using the Zoom chat feature during Meeting for Worship. It can be distracting and may take away from worship. If you have a message to share, unmute yourself and share it during worship. If it is a piece of information you want to share, wait until Afterthoughts or Announcements to share it.
